Our halyard line breaks in the middle of the Atlantic and somebody has to climb the 50' mast to replace it. Without a main sail Anthony, Ed and I (Will) would be sitting ducks for any storm which might come our way. This video was taken (before stopping in Las Palmas for 3 days) during a trans-Atlantic crossing on a Lagoon 420 (41.5' catamaran). The crossing took 30 days from Les Sables d'Olonne, France to St. Lucia. The day we pulled into the Caribbean was the same day Ike hit Galveston. We crossed hurricane alley without a scratch! Irony of the seas.
