Great flood in manila (Bagyong ondoy) Trap at SM centerpoint

At around 9 am i was suppose to go to work at Sta Cruz Manila. I passed Aurora blvd coming from Broadway centrum. As I noticed tremedous rain and beginning flood, i decided to pull back and stay in SM Centerpoint until the rain stops..But it didn't... Contrary to what they did at Gotesco mall where they tried to let the people not to enter the mall because they said they are closing....The administration of SM allowed us to enter and stay inside the mall...They even allowed one of the moviehouse and the Hall of Bingo Bonanza as a resting place to prevent loittering and looting...Thanks to SM centerpoint.......Savior Mall

@tothebeaty0 oo daw, sabi ng iba mga 27 people daw na trap sa basement...the water was so fast that it flooded the basement immediately...imagine how wide is the basement and your only exit is thru the escalator...siguro yun iba is trying to salvage the items and thinking that they can get out quickly...Napansin ko din pinaakyat lahat ng tao sa cinema (topmost floor) tapos nag iiyakan yun mga ibang employees but they were silent..parang kinausap na sila ng supervisor to keep silent

@veranaika totoo daw....nakita ko yun paakyat ng flood sa loob ng basement, sobrang bilis tumaas...eh ang exit mo lang sa escalator..yun mga security guards wala nang mgawa kundi sumilip sa escalator na ang bilis umakyat....kaya pala during that time pinaakyat kame agad sa loob ng cinema para walang makakita sa nanyari

No, it's not the government's fault. You Filipinos keep treating the Philippines like a big trash can and this type of flooding will happen again.

So don't blame the government and your elected representatives for this calamity. Are Filipinos that dumb and uncivilized that the government has to step in and babysit them and teach them the basic dangers of littering on the streets and waterways??
