UE is one of the team I personally respect because to me, they just seem like a better version of my team. Their building events are actually surprisingly similar to the ideas I come up with, and are really just much better executed than I can achieve. Then again, I'm the only builder on the team, so...

Both my Ramble bot (the real one, not the one in my other video) and theirs uses a winch to lift the box rather than rotate it. Their EV and RR are both made of laser-cut plastic, like my three bots. I outright copied their Sumo design from last year. This year their sumobot was remarkably like the ones that the Japanese have, so we probably are influenced by the same.

I always thought of them as the team to beat in building events. I really thought I had some bad luck when I saw that we had the same block as them for Sumo. Fortunately for us, we got vengeance for last year (they were the Sumo champs), but then ironically lost to a bot with sticky tape on its tracks (our '07 regionals strategy).

This might be the last year that I'll do RR. I might just fix up my bot and make a video for fun.
