I took a Star Galaxy toy pin and converted it to a Hyperpin Minipinball setup. I used a 27" , 19" Ratio. It turned out prety nice.

  • ...also, that's a 16:9 aspect 27 inch and a 4:3 aspect 19 inch monitor right?

  • @fontzepontze It's a 27" 16x9 lcd dismantled TV for the playfield and a standard 19" 4:3 pc monitor for the backglass. I build the backbox for the backglass monitor. I've done some updates since this video.. New buttons like I mentioned, and more tables etc.. It's a fun little machine for sure.

  • @supadave12 Thanks for the info, the machine looks great!

Most of the posts I've read about virtuapins seem to imply that you need some super refresh rate on the play field monitor. You feel the TV does the job well? I'd like to keep my budget within reason. Are you satisfied with the height? I love that it comes with metal legs and you don't need to buy lock down bars, etc.

  • @fontzepontze Height is fine, the TV does just fine for me and everyone who has played it. I'll post an iphone vid on youtube for you to see a bit more. My only beef is that the palms of your hands get a little sore cause they rest on the corners of the machine and if you notice they are not rounded and are a bit sharp over time.

  • Do you have plans or dimensions for the backbox you built? Currently working on a Zizzle cab to mini-pin and your backbox looks appropriate for what I am doing as well.

  • I'd love to do this very thing. Did you post a step by step anywhere?

  • I totally agree with just sticking the tower behind it. Easier to work on or switch out!

  • awesome custom there. Great use of a pretty crappy toy pin. I use to have a Star Galaxy, so I can say with all certainty... this is a BIG improvement.

  • Excellent job Supadave12. I wanted to be the first kid on the block to convert a Zizzle pinball machine into a Hyperpin. Oh well. At least I know it's definitely possible. Two thumbs up!
