What kind of capture card are you using?

This is gonna sound stupid but I'm new to PS3 so forgive me. Are the games actually installed onto the hard drive so you can launch the game without the disk or does it install like half of the game so you still need the disk?

Oh and also me and my brother are getting a PS3 for christmas and I just wondered how you change user accounts, because he said you can have 2 users for different data and stuff, is this correct?

You can create multiple user accounts. You will just pick the account that you want to use when powering up the ps3.

one last thing, I heard a rumour from a friend that the ps3 live kind of thing was gonna change from free to paid and the xbox live would change from paid to free. Is this true?

Sony has stated they will always offer the free playstation network.

I have heard that they might offer a "premium" service with addons and such, but that's a rumor as far as I know.

Free online service is Sony's big ticket over the 360, so I wouldn't worry about that for now.

No, there are game installs which puts loading information onto the ps3, therefore reducing loading times when playing the game.

You still have to have the disc, unless its a downloadable game from the Playstation Store.

You have to need the disk to start-up, loading maps, that kinda shit. Other words, yes, you need to use the disk......

I dont think there are any games installed to the hard drive but you can buy them online.
