I use the term "rat rod" as it was first meant, in the mid 90s. Us guys just slamming early cars together ona budget, whatever motors were cheap, what bodies were. Not caring about making them show quality, just wanting to drive and ride the shit out of them. These new guys are PURPOSEFULLY trying to build their cars to look shitty, with high budgets. That pisses me off, as we eventually finnished our cars, they may have just took ten years before it got finished.

True rat rodders build cars like the old timers. Building the car, getting it running and driving is first and foremost to us. I cant stand the guys who spend big bucks on their cars and purposefully make them look ratty. We eventually get our cars georgious, it just takes us years to scrounge the cash.
