Drake R7 with new digital frequency display

Drake R7 with new yellow coloured digital frequency display after replacing the old faulty one. The display came from df4nw, who sells them in green, red, blue, yellow and also mixed colours. The quality is extraordinary. Highly recommended. The display foil for the analog frequency dial has also been changed, after the old one had bleached out. Only two activities on the long way of refurbishing the receiver. Now it works fine. More videos of this excellent receiver will follow soon.

Wirklich ein Empfänger, mit dem man gerne spielt. Ein puristisches Radio mit besten HF-Eigenschaften. Der rundeste Empfänger, den ich je besessen habe . In SSB und CW klingt er einfach sensationell. Kein Vergleich zur miserablen NF eines NRD-525.

the drake tr7 and r7 were made to military specs, they sold the same radios to the military, except for the chasis, it was and sill is a great item.
