In the first half of the movie I pull off a seamless digital preshow to film changeover, only to realize I forgot to turn the exciter on! And the second half shows the manual type lens change one must perform with cat like reflexes when running a long play system with flat ads and a scope feature with a single barrel type lens holder. Projector is a very original Cinemeccanica Victoria 8, with magazines still attached even though we run from platters (Christie AW3).

  • Denis gave up the cinema about 5 years ago, and Malcolm passed away sometime around then. The other vic 8 is at the Como.

  • Piccadilly Theatre, Perth Western Australia.

  • italian technology :-)

  • When I was the Projectionest there with Richard there was 1 vic 8 there and when the Town closed we got the vic 8s from there. 1 vic went down stairs with a christie lamp house and we then had 2 vic 8s upstairs.

  • Can you ask Denis where to get hold of Malcom Leech? and what happened to the other vic 8 in that bio?

  • What cinema is this?
