@madman102792 Oh I do not doubt you at all, trust me. I watched about 4 oiling shifts at Nationals in Reno last year :) All I am saying is that in the video it's an Authority 22 Lane Machine by Brunswick as they are a major PBA sponsor :P

@MONOPOLY35 Totally not the reason they dress the lanes, they do it to protect the top coat. Balls that have high revs with no oil would eventually mar the topcoat and wear grooves into it. The shot does nothing more than allow the ball to skid before it breaks, which is what lets the ball to take the hard line to the pocket anyway. The only reason it would affect how much hook is put on a ball, is by the bowler not releasing the ball properly.

@heavyq not true, the new lane walkers are grey like this and run themselves, they are so sweeeeet. i only have ever seen 1 lane walker in my life. i bowl at the kegel training and research center all the time and thats what they use. lucky me to live 1 hour from the nicest training facility in the world :)

@madman102792 AHHHHHHahahahahha classic!!! Im glad someone else noticed this

I saw machines like these oiling up the lanes all the time before a league started. Because of these machines, there is less hook during leagues and more hook during open times.

I lug one of those around every day at work, Its a beast! lol
i think its funny how the guy who posted this video owns a bowling alley, yet has no clue what a lane oiling machine is or what it does. lol, id hate to see what his lanes look like, lol.
