Since we having multiple ongoing technical issues on promethean, we have stopped further purchases. Smartboard equal products are very very expensive and they should review it. We started looking alternatives and Iwe believe other companies will also deserving chance to go! as Promethean looks no longer need more customer! and their 5 years warranty just fake!
3 days old projector not covered by warranty because they say needs deep cleaning!! You got to be kidding me this is only 3 days machine!

Promethean's installation time shorter than smartboard. Promethean products have cronical USB problems which you will face everyday! Definetely they need to find solution for that but since long time they very careless! As I mentoned before Promethean's customer service extremely bad non responsive and to get someone in site you need to waste a lot of time and you need to pass endless steps. Such a expensivs products and such bad services. We believe both company do not care schools!

We do have both Smartboard and Promethean.
Promethean looks better but very problematic and endless technical issues. None of Promethean board operated without problem unfortunately. Smartboard is very expensive and definetely not deserving what they asking.
Warranty is better for Smartboard as they very responsive. Promethean's warranty and technical support not even terrible! Worst warranty I ever seen. Software side, promethean is better, lot more resources than smartboard.

@teomcam one of my colleagues in our training team is an ex Promethean trainer. She has all sorts of stories believe me!
