EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique 2, Money, Inspired By Wellness 11

What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. This simple technique was developed by Gary Craig based upon his studies with Dr. Roger Callahan and it involves tapping a few energy points of the upper body in conjunction with a neutralizing set up phrase.

Seems pretty wacky
The idea and processes are indeed pretty strange; unlike anything many people have encountered. Skepticism is a healthy thing and belief in the process is not required for it to be effective.

  • I don't mean to rant, but I would think people could state that they were happy for the others it's helped but, that it didn't work for them, without labeling each other as "idiots," "new age wackos" or "brainwashed by drug companies." Can't we all just be "people" with differences that we can accept? People only truly have to be "right" for themselves, not universally correct. Remember that? Or don't, if you'd rather not.

  • (continued): I don't believe people should ALWAYS try to define things as what absolutely "works" or "absolutely doesn't work and the people who say it does or lying or deluding themselves." Sure, those things can occurs, but many things work very "legitimately" for some but, not for others. If you're getting the weird sensation that I'm saying people can actually be different, well you'd be right.

Don't be so afraid to give things a try if they're not asking you for a fortune to do so.

  • My general message today is. Why can't people accept the (at least partial) subjectivity of the reality we call "life." Why does everyone need to be angered by every little thing that may not be "absolute truth" when they're no closer to finding it. The reason medication works regardless of your "belief in it" is because it isn't helping the body heal itself, it's causing a chemical reaction (which in itself could possibly help certain things, but still). So this isn't that?

  • @Colortiniz So concerned on what "is" or "isn't" "really science"? Why? What happiness does such a concern bring? Also, pseudo-science doesn't necessarily mean "doesn't work." It means that it isn't truly scientific by definition. I wouldn't call this really scientific at this point. It's definitely not harmful though and has legitimately helped people, regardless of why it's worked for them and possibly not for others. Hating trends is being a part of them just as much as loving them.

  • @MICHAELMEMISBACL Good to hear. Hope all is well.

  • @bobbob135 It has worked for many people, to treat serious conditions. Also, it's not potentially dangerous in any way. Maybe it doesn't work for some people. Maybe it doesn't work because they refuse to believe it, or maybe the belief is what makes the body heal itself. No one truly knows. Either way, it's not hurting anyone. Why are people soooo afraid of being "scammed." Try following a long with a youtube video demonstration. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. People overreact.

  • Today's been an interesting day..

  • Or you're just a fundamentalist religious nut-job trying to justify spreading hatred throughout the world by labeling other ideas as "pagan." Haha!

  • @gyrgrls they are green because whoever made this doesn't know how to use a green screen.
