I tell ya, it was the lesbian hedgehogs that killed JFK, the straight armadillos took out Oswald, and the pillsbury dough boy had the ford edsel discontinued.
It's all a conspiracy I tell ya. they're watching you every move right now. lock up your pets, put your kids in the garage, and fire up your tobacco accessories 'cause it's gonna be a long night.

@slickis82 Did I say download bunch of Distros. Downloading a bunch of distro you will never use is waste of time. Once again research your hardware. Find out what your hardware needs. Talk to someone that knows about Linux no me though. And get advice on which one is best. You also have said anything about what specs you have.

@LinuxPhreak2600 I'm not going to waste my time downloading a ton of distros, Debian I tried installing but it wouldn't install properly. When asked for the setup type between GUI and BIOS I asked for a GUI, and it gave me the BIOS version.

@slickis82 I've never had problem installing Linux on any computer nor have I ever had problem installing it on a PDA, iPod or cell phone. I've gotten working on Macs and PC's. You didn't get get distro that offers support for your hardware. Which resulted in you hating Linux.

@slickis82 You don't need to buy specific hardware. You need to find distro that works with your hardware. Or you need to request for drivers to be installed. Like I've been saying you didn't do your research.

@LinuxPhreak2600 My question was why do I need to buy specific hardware just to run Linux, which I posted a page back. So far I've been left unanswered.

@slickis82 I've already given you an answer. What other answer do you want. I've given facts about Linux. Please be more clear about what you want to know. In my opinion Ubuntu which you hate just because you didn't ask for help is one of the easiest Linux distros. I think it is kind of cowardly of you to not want to ask for help getting it to work and then bash on it, because your to proud to ask for help.

@slickis82 Microsoft does't allow you to modify their software. This in my eyes is criminal. Because your not allowed to modify it it cripples the evolution in technology. It's because of Microsoft and it's followers that we have the technolagy we currently have. We could very well be 10 yrs ahead of where we are right now if they allowed people to help improve their software. Because Microsoft refuses to let people view their source code, they have to fix all the bugs themselves.

@slickis82 You don't understand it. If you did you wouldn't talk the way you do about it. I prefer to have very stable system that is catored towards my needs. And only have what want on it instead of a bunch of software that takes up space and resources and I will never use. Plus I'm Christian and believe in Christ's teachings. Christ tought of sharing and giving. He spoke for people. Microsoft doesn't allow this. Your forced to pay royalties to Microsoft to be able to redistribute it.
