Actually you have to be 16 in the calendar year during the Olympics so she wasn't too young for the Olympics. Marine Petit from France was the youngest there and she was 15 turning 16 (She is born on on November the 15 in 1992). The fact is Marine went to the 2007 World when she was just 14 ! and she qualified to the Olympics. I don't know if Ivana did that but it could explain why she wasn't in the Olympics.

I thought she was allowed to go. You had to turn 16 the year of the Olympics.

Ivana was born in 1992, so she's eligible
there used to be a rule where if you were eligible for the Olympics you were eligible for the world championships the year before, but now that's ending next year

some gymnastics fans from sacramento. it was actually fun sitting next to them. they had so much energy. at one point, their cheering was just hilarious!

im pretty sure she is 15...if i remember correctly she will be 16 on like december 11. she isnt allowed to go to the olympics because of her age, but i guess shes allowed to be a senior gymnast. well shawn just turned 16 this past january, and she was a senior gymnast last year too, so i guess the 16 age limit is just for olympics.

she just took part in the olympic trials, so she must be 16 this year.
