http://www.euronews.net/ Protesters did their best to stop it, but a train carrying nuclear waste has arrived in Germany after a five day journey from France.

Greenpeace members were there to attempt to record radioactive levels, before containers are transferred to a storage facility.

Hundreds of protesters made a last-ditch attempt to stop the train, with some chaining and cementing themselves to railway tracks.

The line was eventually cleared, however, allowing the train to arrive at its destination.
