Elements of the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division are engaged in Afghanistan's Wardak Province, southwest of Kabul. The division's Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry, lost 8 killed and 25 wounded in just three months in mid-2009. Twenty-one-year-old Spc. Justin Pellerin, who was killed by a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan Aug. 20, is one such casualty. In the days following his death, Pellerin's friends remembered him, and mourned his loss.

  • ya they couldnt have interviewed two of the worse nco's if they tried...the first guy was a cook and his only job was to serve chow on time and couldnt even do that! And for the 1st sgt to actually sit there and say morale wasnt low?? In between us losing guys every month, him making us go without showers for weeks, shutting down the MWR, building his damn cop and palace (cp), id say morale couldnt have got lower. O well, in the words of our cooks, "blame it on the taliban" i guess.
