There was Jeanettes dad.dead. i looked down at Jeanette and she actually looked relevied? I mean she loves her dad. but he abused her. and i dont even know what else he could have done to her!
"WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TO ME NICK!" She now looked scared like when i saw her come in my house earlier.
"Nick...i dont want to be taken away from you." What Jeanette said to me made me surprized i know we are best friends but...can we be more than that?
"I'm not gonna let them take you away from me. Now can i borrow your phone i left mine at home." she swung her purple bag around and dug out her phone. she looked at me then the phone then me.
" i promise." i said reasureing Jeanette that i will always be right there beside her. she smiled then gave me the phone. i called the police and then hung up and gave the phone back to Jeanette.
"They are on their way." i got up then i helped Jeanette up.
"You better go pack what you need because your going to be staying with me for a while." i could tell that Jeanette got a little excited. she basically skipped to her room glad that the abuse from her father will forever stop. the police came through the open door. i turned around then walked down the stairs to go meet them
"We got a call from here saying their was a dead man?" i looked down trying not to remember the picture of Jeanettes dad hanging from the shower rod he was so stiff. all his color in his body was gone and his eyes. i quickly stopped and told them to follow me up to his room i looked down and pointed to the bathroom. there was silence. a police man whispered something to another police man then turned toward me with a suspicious look on his face.
"Now how did this happen young man?"
"suicide." i said looking up at him showing him i was serious.some medics came up with a blanket and one of those streatchers is what i think they call them? they cut him down layed him on the stretcher then covered him with the blanket.
"Do you know why?"
"Well im not sure but i think it's because he was mad at himself for abuseing Jeanette. His daughter."
He looked at me shocked then shook his head
"Sad....do you know this Jeanette?"
"Yes she is my best friend and will be staying with us."
"Well we need to talk with your parents and also with Jeanette."
"of course." Jeanette came in hoding a bag full of her things she dropped it and looked up at the police man. she grabbed me and pulled me into a hug and then started to cry into my chest.
"He's not going to take me away from you is he?!" i was about to say something but the police man cut me off.
