Half a Century and still a Sneaker Guy...
If you look deep enough within all people, under all the layers of seriousness, you are sure to find a Sneaker Guy...
This is the first multi-track recording I am sharing with you, apart from the two collabs I have done which were based on my chord progressions but made and mixed by Mark Galloway. There is always the temptation to exaggerate when you have at your disposal modern technology, so I have tried to keep it simple. What you see is what you hear, except for the prerecorded drum patterns. At times it may not seem so, but that is only due to some minor sound/video sync issues. (Still learning the video-editing program I got for Christmas!)
Believe it or not but this tune came to me when I was practicing "The Seagull", a Tony McManus arrangement of a bagpipe melody. The tuning is really strange: DAAEAE with a full capo on the first fret. Seems that it could only be suitable for a Scottish or Irish reel, but I managed to squeeze this out.
So this is for all you Sneaker Guys and Gals out there...
I hope you enjoy...
