Synfig Character Animation Test

This is a re-upload of a first attempt to do character animation solely inside Synfig. Other than some thumbnail sketches with pencil and paper, all stages of the process were done inside Synfig: blocking, timing, character construction, etc. I learned a lot in the process, though I'm not all that crazy about the end result (especially the boy character - wow, is he stiff!). I think that with practice, though, (and perhaps more talent than I possess :D ) it should be possible to do some nice character animation with this open source package - especially with some of the latest enhancements.

Can u do tweening on this program. Like move a vector in a couple of frames and it adds the inbetweens

@mjthings Can you post a synfig tutorial? PLEASE?! Also, can you record voices and put them onto your synfig animation?

@c4r50n1 I actually plan to do a few Synfig tutorials but just haven't managed to fit them into my schedule yet. As for sound, Synfig itself doesn't yet support it, so I record dialogue in Audacity and then put sound and images together in the Blender video sequence editor.

I have to say I think it looks really good! Make it 5-10 mins long and you could definitely submit it to a film festival or something :)

@mjthings Does synfig have bones like Anime Studio? I wanted to download the mac version but it was weird and i guess you have to know howw to use unix coommand in terminal to install. I hope they make a regular installer.
