  • I love Clarkson for his entertainment, but he can be an idiot sometimes. The Corvette does not have a live axle rear end, not since 1962. And the C6 he's driving has a 6.0 LS2, not the 5.7 LS1. When you're making a legitimate video to put on sale like this, get your damn facts straight...

  • @eggsnham Ok the GTO isn't that bad. But the SRT4 come on only Americans think they're good. and i didn't say the ACR was a bad car because infact it is areally good car just like the ZR1

  • @bencolecumbria1995 Dude, if you're telling me the GTO is terrible then I know you're trolling. Corvette engine with fully independent suspension. The Neon SRT-4 and earlier ACR variants dominated SCCA races for years. The Cobalt SS competes well with the Japanese and European counterparts, and there was even a factory performance option for 300bhp.

I've worked on and driven many of these cars. They're very capable machines.

  • @eggsnham your just naming cars now. I mean the cobalt the neon and the gto? Trust me ive been to America atleast 10 times and every single car we hired including a mustang gt and camaro ss where all just terrible

  • @bencolecumbria1995 Actually, it only took me 10 seconds for me to come up with those cars. Want more? The Camaro and Trans-Am; the Cobalt SS and Neon SRT-4; and the Pontiac GTO. As for the Mustang 5.0,performance-wise it competes very well with the M3. Check the numbers. And "trampoline suspension" was only on boring sedans from the 70's - not sports cars then, and certainly not now.

The point is, people think American cars can't compete, but they can. Clarkson just won't admit it.

  • @eggsnham Well done, it has took you a month to come up with 5 good cars. And trust me all of the mustangs are good looking but lack of handling, traction and luxury make them really terrible cars you can not put a 5 litre engine in a car that uses trampolines for suspension and expect it to be good. As for the S7 and the viper i have to agree with you they are good cars. and yes Jeremy has made a v8 blender before you should watch the video it's funny.

  • @bencolecumbria1995 You're missing a lot of good American cars. The Shelby Cobra with both the 289 and 427 were fantastic. The Saleen S7, Dodge Viper, Cadillac CTS-V and the new Mustang 5.0 are all good cars. And of course, many Corvettes, ignoring that period from 75-91 where the oil crisis and it's aftermath ruined fun for a while.

Funny that Clarkson said that the C6 has "the same amount of power as a European food-mixer." 400bhp is a lot of power for a blender.

  • He doesn't say all Brit cars are good wtf u on about? He goes on about American cars because to be quite honest with you the only good American cars are the Ford GT, ZR1 and the SSC aero. So about 99% of them are crap. Trust me i havenothing bad to say about America It is a lovely place it's just like everything. They all have there good points and bad points and Americas bad points are their cars.

  • @bencolecumbria1995 not American. However i find it ironic how JC goes on anout how bad U.S cars when the Brits have some awful peices of crap as well.

  • @Statimtek Shutup you American with your Chrysler PT Cruisers and your Scions
