Reagan DID raise taxes.  Reagan DID raise spending. What are you talking about? Taxes are lower today than they were in the Reagan era.

Reagan, more than any other president, made deficit spending an endemic facet of the American government. The American debt increased by $1.9 trillion dollars under Reagan. Adjusted for inflation, the debt Reagan added was unprecedented.
