At the APS DFD annual meeting in November 2010, Long Beach CA. Participants were asked to discuss at their tables 1) Interactive experiences: How can class formats best support the inclusion of demos and exercises?
What are some demos, clicker questions etc. you like to do?
2) Flying before we can crawl: Are there practical strategies that would allow students to participate in research or advanced classes, even when their background is not optimal (not enough math, not enough basic fluids)
3) Conservation of class time: What are some effective ways of a) taking mathematics out of classes or b) putting CFD into classes
