Offertory hymn at the University of the South's School of Theology. The Chapel of the Apostles (CoTA) is the seminary's "teaching chapel" where the student body meets several times a day for worship and prayer. The organ is a very lovely 2003 two-manual 23-something rank Casavant. Pictures and specification are available on the Casavant website. This was during the '08-09 academic year. The words are apparently copyrighted (by George B. Timms) and the hymn tune "Rustington" was composed by C.H.H. Parry. It is hymn number 278 in The Hymnal 1982.

  • Picked right out of the English Hymnal eh? Well at least it sounds like a proper English hymn to my ears. I love their hymns for the melodic structure and flowing harmonies used. Again, flawless playing, and I particularly loved your adding the reeds towards the end of the stanza, nice affect! EXCELLENT post!
