Regarding interpretation, i understanding what you are saying, but this is not the case. It is not an issue of interpretation whatsoever. Please do review the verses and you will see that anyone making such false claims that these verses command Muslims to be violent is totally false. The same verses have proven it...we did not need to bring any of the 100s of peaceful verses to prove it. The same verses attacked have given the answer.

An interesting point of view. However exploiting the same mechanism like any other religious preachers of different religion. INTERPRETATION. You won't tell me that's only Wilders who looks for verses from "holy" books for support of his own agenda. A Dutch politician or a Muslim preacher no difference.

Live your life to the fullest and not at cost of others and find consensus where interests of different people are in conflict. You don't need religion to live a moral life.

48:29 deals with specific unbelievers, ie, those that were persecuting Muslims and at war (see verse 25 "who debarred you from the Inviolable House of Worship")

9:123 liberated the Roman people from their oppressive regime, as well as liberated the Persians for their oppressive regime. In both cases, these countries did not allow religious freedom. Importantly, the other rules of war did not get cancelled (ie, respect peace treaties, leave just / fair leaders alone, etc).

The people in the clips may be real Muslims, but their actions have nothing to do with the Quran, neither did anyone of them quote a single verse of the Quran.

yes, the Quran tells Muslims not to take disbelievers as protectors and intimate friends (in place of God, and in place of Muslims) many times. But I don't really think you care about what level of friendship is allowed from Muslims to have with non-Muslims...friendship is allowed, but not intimate friendship or protectors.

Furthermore, I LOVE how "you think" we "are also distorting the Quran". We are presenting you with the confirmed understandings taught by scholars. PERIOD.
