@gunloverful You obviously with your mediocre sub-standard intellect and cognitive capacities fail to understand my central thesis - that conscription is redundant and coercive in Singapore and exacerbates tensions with its neighbours, which defeats the purpose for conscription. And btw all the countries at the prospect at war with Singapore are so low in IQ that they think our army is weak. They dont even have internet. How are they going to see all these videos glorifying the Singapore army?

@gunloverful 2 - If your ridiculous assertion that the Nazis waged war for gaining recognition was right, then why is it that the Nazis invaded what you would similarly describe as a "pussy country" aka Norway on April 9 1940? Why bother invading it if they exclusively desired gaining recognition? Assuming your argument about deterrence was true, it would only prove my point since if armies fight only strong armies to gain recognition, wouldn't having a weak army deter war?

@gunloverful If you possessed even an iota of comprehension of history, you would discover that the Nazis invaded France not to secure recognition, but to avenge the Versailles Treaty and not to mention employ French bases as a springboard for initiating potential attacks against Britain. Hence the June 22 1940 Armistice at Compiegnie designed to humiliate the French. The issue was not about recognition at all, in fact the Nazis were anxious about France from the beginning.

@alien1tau9 Plus, Singapore's Army is light years ahead compared to any nation which is at the prospect of war with us. If u think a strong army is a lousy deterrence. Try to picture a bunch of ants trying to kill Iron Man.
