A world government means we, the United States citizens will lose our sovereignty, or the authority over our civil rights. Governments you want peace with have disarmed there citizens in recent history over civil rights that we enjoy and have then slaughtered their people, ie., Red China 45mil of their own from 1927 to 1976, Guatemala 200k 1960 to 1980. From my experience, some people's hearts are just evil and therefore there is no Utopia. We have LIBERTY, or use to before Obama took office!!!

@mnhr2 I agree to what you are saying about those people but but my argument is that war is the the last refuge and should try to be avoided if possible, in this day and age we should be working towards world peace and working together. there should be a world government which is working towards looking outwards to the stars

@glenscott1 War is not futile. Since the beginning of mankind there has been evil that possessed men like Hitler, and Stalin, Mao Zedong, who murdered tens of millions of innocent people. Thank God for our Country and those men who had the courage to put an end to the murdering empires in this world. From a patriot who knows that freedom isn't free.

This is a beautiful song that personifies the futility of war. I apologise if I offend but I believe in world peace and I think that is what this song is aimed at!

Beautiful song! I loved it when I was young and had it on an old 45 record. I haven't heard it in probably 25 years or so.....but still remembered most of the words! Thank you for posting! It brings back many memories!

A great British song. It never rated well on the American charts.

From an old 55.6 yo military retiree, the song is great, Our men and women that "Stay the Course" make us all proud to have served. Retired in 96, and I wish I could stand again with the younger ones today. My journey is done, but thank God those still CHOOSE to serve !!!
I've loved this song since it came out, I've never put it to the updated motif you have with this montage, it's beautiful and so are you for posting it especially to those of us that tasted war.
God Bless
