MPP Nevada's $10,000 Challenge 09/23/2009

MPPNV spokesperson Dave Schwartz appears at a press conference announcing a challenge to Nevada residents. MPP has offered a $10,000 prize to anyone who can disprove three scientifically supported statements that show marijuana is safer than alcohol. I think we all agree that it's not a gateway drug, and that the only reason it has a bad reputation is because idiots are claiming this magical medicine is somehow bad for you :D

The OTHER drugs that are illegal are much, MUCH easier to get. Trust me, I know first hand, Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug, The only reason why they can even make this point is because it is illegal like other (and ACTUALLY harmful drugs like cocaine, H. and meth) are both sold often by the same person BECAUSE OF ITS LEGAL STATUS! Marijuana will NOT cause you to lose your family, job, money, ect.. If you really think alcohol is less harmful then MJ, You are VERY wrong!

And although I am inclined to agree with you, I'm pretty positive that no major studies have been conducted to conclusively state whether or not pot is addictive.

I was merely pointing out that if pot were legalized, regulated, and taxed none of the problems she cited would be valid points.

As it stands... she is a big idiot...

Marijuana does not lead to PHysical dependancy,but it can can cause PSychological dependency, although that kind of dependency is almost always the cause of depression prior to use.

Marijuana itself does not cause the gateway effect, but because it is placed next to other drugs that are ACTUALLY Dangerous, people usually get pushed into trying those dangerous drugs by their dealers

Marijuana does NOT make you violent, and even has the opposite effect.

"lose your job, lose your family, legal repercussions" all caused by the prohibition of pot, aswell i can seriously say that i never tried crack coke meth heroin ever because i smoke pot, although dabbling in psychedelics possibly as a result of pot i must say i detest lsd acid and pretty much all man made drugs including alcohol then though i may get a buzz once in awhile
