I agree with the earlier comments - the candle tray and the wings can add to a dance, but not when used in conjunction with each other.
Also, the last outfit was inappropriate, and does nothing for the public image of belly dance. It is because of dancers dressing in that manner that men think belly dance is some sort of suggestive performance done purely for men's enjoyment

I was actually at this show
and not all the dancers are Jehan....It was different elements of dance. The last dancer was not Jehan, but another style of dance.
Please don't let that stop you from taking the best workshop. She is an amazing dancer, artist, and teacher. You will learn quite a bit from her.

OMG! I rarely say anything considered rude on comments because I try to find something I appreciate in each video. Help me to understand what in the world the last stripper type outfit was supposed to be? Yes, the candles and wings were distracting, but that costume was INAPPROPRIATE! I am not prude it just gives people an inaccurate protrayal of Belly Dance. I am concerned about her workshop I was going to take now.

I think that at the part where there was the Isis wings and the candle tray. She should have pick one or the other not both. It's just to much to have both and it takes away for the dance.
I also did not like the ending where it looks like she had a only a belt and bra on. The ending looked like a stripper- not a belly dancer.
The other parts to me though, we enjoyable and interesting to watch.

well yeah that s something else..
i think jehan is an admirable dancer.. but i too do not fancy the wings and the candle trays.
dont know what US american audiences feel about them, to me it s too much of a circus effect and distractin from the dance and feeling (and shamadan to me is sth special for special occasions and not for any dance performance, just for marriages or birth parties to light into the future and bring luck..)
