Part one of a tutorial on how I do iron on transfer faces for plushies.

The only thing that has changed since doing this tutorial is that I now draw the eyes with pencils and colored pencils before ironing then add the ink after ironing. This helps to keep it from sticking. :)

Part Two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRp1M-tLzMc

Tools I use are are:
- iron on transfer paper (for dark fabrics)
- an iron
- a hard, non porous surface
- fabric (in this case, felt)
- Sakura Micron pen
- Prismacolor colored pencils
- sharp, small scissors
- a pin

  • If you do not color in the white parts like the highlights in the eyes will it be white when you transfer it onto the plushie? Or do you have to color it white. •~• thnks for the tutorial btw

  • @naomitheartist You can leave them white for things that are white as long as you have the iron on paper for dark colored fabrics. Sometimes I find it gets a little dirty though so I end up coloring it white after :D

  • That's amazing! You're SO patient with those extremely small parts! ^^ LOL That would drive me nuts!! LOL

  • @cutechong haha yes the small parts can be trying :P

  • Yay <3 i was just looking for some info on making the eyes i would have never gotten the idea just to draw it on the paper o.o Thank you so much <3

  • @SanGekido Sure! Yeah the drawing works really a lot better for me than printing ever did. Trying to get my printer to print the right color and not eat the paper is just a fight I'm not willing to wage :D
