I appreciate this representation of that horrific moment in childhood when one learns that other cute things sharing the world are also food and our papa is a murderer who feels no remorse because that's the way the world has to be. By using a medium and style associated so strongly with childhood, he is taking us back, reminding us how scary that realization was--and still is beneath the layers of acceptance we've piled on as we've aged. Bravo!
