I got a new laptop with Vista preinstalled. Hell, was that a bad idea. I basically went mad after it decided to screw up.

  • omfg. You dumb ass. The 2 hard drives are only their to back up your system.

  • Please consider checking your spelling and grammar before posting a 'hate' comment next time. It makes you look as stupid as the people you criticise. By the way, if you don't see anything wrong with your comment, I'll help you out a little. It's 'there', not 'their'. Fool. Oh, I also forgot to mention that you are wrong.

  • if you see bsod you probably have problem with drivers or with ram memory,i think if you se bsod that you probably have problem with ram memory, find xp and then install it and if you see bsod again call the fucking service or store where you buy comp and say them to fix fucking problem

  • That's ok. To be honest though, I'm not too bothered about the aero effects. I've downgraded back to Vista Basic from Ultimate and have had less problems than I did. I'm pretty sure, however, the source of all my problems is actually the RAM - after taking both modules out, I've realised that they're of different bus speeds - one is 667MHz and I think the other is 800 or something like that.

  • If you don't know to work with vista why the fuck you install it,i have xp,vista, and ubuntu and i don't have any fucking problem i use fucking computer for too long and i never see BSOD on xp or vista. And my computer is only Amd Athlon Xp 1800+ 1gb ram geforce fx 5200 and no fucking problem i can even play many new games on vista ultimate with this mashine

  • My laptop came with Vista preinstalled!

  • EXACLY THE SAME PROBLEM xp was so much better than this shit

  • I'm sick of people making excuses or trying to blame the consumer- Windows Vista is CRAP!! I'm a middle aged white collar guy trying do basic home PC tasks- nothing "techie". I've downloaded all the updates and this is still the most glitch and crash-prone OS I've encountered. I had no complaints with XP. Replacing XP with this junk is like replacing a new car with an 800 pound bicycle. A needless product, developed with complete incompetence, and without reagard for the average user.

  • vista is so shit that i changed my operating systen back to xp after a month of use

it could recognise the fucking the cd drive

    couldnt connect to the internet

the resolution gets messed up when ever i install a game.

  • 1 Gig of RAM is not enough for Vista.

  • My XP Is worse. I am using it right now. I made a Virtual Machine of Windows 7 and the whole Virtual PC froze when I ran the Firefox installation. I even get the BSOD when I run a video on Windows Media Player!!!

  • I've had my xp for AAGGEESS and its still running perfectly. I haven't even considered buying a new computer.

  • The "two" hard drives are just different partitions of the one inside, often the other is just for backup. go to control panel/ administrative tools/ computer management and check

  • @nathanpreece Sorry, but fuck that, get Ubuntu. You'll only be paying for the disc and/or a CD burner.

  • @windowspczone They're called "partitions".

  • @nathanpreece i don't recommend installing hackintosh because with my netbook it was sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!

  • Check if your WiFi is on and check in the device manager if the WiFi adapter is properly. . Did you check for drivers? Windows Updates? Did you use another Wireless Device such as DS if you have one and The DS does not connect then its your Routers fault. I have tried Vista Ultimateand have no problems with it even my Ram was 510 MB and I downloaded lots of stuff and filled my hard drive and I did not get any errors and Internet Problems and try to go to your ISP and ask them. I am on Win 7 now.
