http://MPGomatic.com drops the hammer on a 2011 Ford Fiesta SES hatchback for a 0-60 MPH acceleration test. This FIesta's 1.6L TIVCT Duratech DOHC inline four is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The dual-clutch six-speed automatic Fiesta appears to be slightly faster than the five-speed manual Fiesta in the sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour. It's worth noting that traction control cannot be turned off.

  • Hey Dan. I think one important review (0-60) would be the 2012 wrangler with the pentastar engine (3.6 liter V6). It has always been a great car but always lacked sufficient power. I guess we are all hoping that the new engine would take the wrangler to a new level. Would be grateful if you test the wrangler.....automatic Sahara with the 3.73 gears is the slowest among the fleet.

  • @ssj02 Hoping that there will be one in the fleet this winter ... stay tuned ...

  • have you done the ford focus zx3????

  • @joshisazombie Haven't done the Focus ZX3. Should have the new Focus in the near future.

  • hey i like your reviews, how did you start the launch? are you doing it in a kick down or swinging it slowly from a standstill

  • @epiphonesgboy Thx! We generally take two or three stabs at it. Always from a standstill. One off idle, the second with some brake to get the revs up a bit.

  • @ImmaGinyu the 90's oval Taurus design seemed to kill the popularity of the Name Plate...

  • That is one ugly gauge cluster. Typical trendy Ford design, just like the 90s Oval Taurus, this will look extremely outdated in a decade

  • @1997RegalGS It is kind of odd to see spark plug wires but it is a nice feature (for cost). Likely the engine only has 2 coil packs instead of 4 coils on the plug. Plus, ford never could do coil on plug and the car would be blowing coils every day.

  • This engine has sparkplug wires, unaceptable in a 2012 car.

  • Traction control cannot be turned off... Give me 1 hour and it will even forget what its mileage is... But it wont do it from the factory.

  • I love it!

  • Have you got the 1.4 or 1.6 turbo diesel fiesta with a DCT gearbox???

They are really really expensive in the UK. The local dealer can NOT get me one to try which is amazing. No wonder so many dealers go out of business.

  • @Aspireonthego nice! Thank you for a great reply

  • @NewGameReleases The Dual Clutch has several benefits on the fiesta like fuel economy improvement and no torque converter like other automatics where more power is lost through the transmission, which means the Fiesta is better on fuel yet still has better performance than traditional automatics.
