    D dorian has the same fingering as a C major scale, If you are playing a Dm7 chord, just play the pattern you would for a C major scale.

    If you are more familiar with playing an A minor scale, well that also has the same fingering as C major and D dorian.

  • say your playing in D dorian , do you play that over a D chord? or a C chord considering its from the C major scale?
