Some ideas on why there are fewer female atheists on YouTube

Pure conjecture, I hasten to add.

I think what may have happened is that small biological differences are exaggerated by cultural circumstances and safety concerns.

Great video. I think the biggest part is the combativeness thing. The average male likes a good fight or debate, while the average woman doesn't. Don't get me wrong; I've known plenty of women who love to debate, but on average, it's true. I think that you hit the nail on the head when you said that small natural differences have been exacerbated by society.

I think there are fewer female atheists in general because:

1. Women are more likely to be crowd followers for utilitarian reasons. Since theism is the popular idea that's what women go with.

2. Women are generally more emotional than logical. God and religions are illogical psychological constructs created to make living a harsh and absurd life more emotionally palatable. Women instinctively choose the emotional benefits of belief and are blind to, or disregard, the illogicality of it.

@gromtkn Maybe, but on the other hand it seems that generally those who have been dealt the worst hands in life seem to be the most religious. Seeing no opportunity to improve their lot in reality they live in hope ...
