Saw that game live and my beloved Vilkes did croak can't argue that. At about 1:10 when the voice kicks in....It's like a a nightmare of sorts with the voice echoing. As if your trapped in a hellish cave with the Hail Mary Game being played over and over !!!

Recently obtained a ton of Vikings footage from back in the day. This croaking thing fits PERFECTLY with their history. Although the Hail Mary Game was the most dramatic, it DID happened many time before!!

@6400az thanks so much for your nice feedback.I remember this game from when I was a little kid & how the ref got hit with the bottle & all.Funny you mention the echo: that was just a technical accident,since only recording I had was at low level & my ghetto editing system could only amp it up by doing primitive muti-tracking, hence the echo.But yeah,SB 4 with Joe Kapp, SB 9: yikes! the year b4 this.Vikes have long history of blown opportunities.Not to mention late '90s vs Falcons. thx!
