@gymrat3e8 100% effort isn't 100% efficiency. But then I struggle with10kg lmao x

looks like your using your back way too much...less weight and safer is the way to go

You're supposed to put the weights behind your head in order to get a true workout from the weights, it's MUCH harder than putting it on your chest and works your muscles better, most people have trouble with just 25lbs too.

I do 90lbs 5x20 on the lowest decline. People just starting out with weighted situps I suggest doing no weight until you can easily do 5 sets of 20. You don't want an injury. These are very easy to get injured on as you progress. Such as lower back,neck,hernia,and the weights sliding off and hitting you in the face. Be smart. Impressive weighted sit ups buddy, keep it up.
I do this workout with a 40 lb dumbbell on my chest, I do 180, 3 sets of 60, sometimes my lower back will hurt a lot. I think it's a muscle pain. It went away after a while but when the weather got colder it came back. It's still sore. Can anyone tell me what it is if doing these sit ups are still good?

I don't do them with so much weight anymore... Other things got my back funky and if I stress too much, i'll get a tingle down my spine (not good). So I generally stick to one/two plates these days.

@gymrat3e8 How much is too much weight? I used to get a back ache from 25 lbs then i moved up to 40 lbs. the pain went away and it became easier. Is the pain I get onmy lower back to the left a muscle? Someone suggested it was a stabilizer muscle.

If it's muscle, then I vote to avoid till the muscle heals.

100% effort is 100% effort. This way is safer and less stress on my body.
