  • Do you think that Lal feeling love meant that she had a soul?

  • Not sure what a soul is or if it exists at all. I'd just say she had all that mattered :)

  • It certainly is one of the most beautiful scenes in star trek. I think Data did love her in his way, he just didn't understand he did, just like he didn't understand that he experienced alot of emotions.

  • most heart wrenching episode

  • "i will feel it for both of us " was kinda overkill but all in all a great episode

  • @kendrawhisp Until he discovered his emotional chip Data did not feel

  • This episode always makes me so sad, that I want to climb in a boat in the middle of a desert and cry until my boat is sailing in an ocean made up entirely of my tears.

  • Damn it ... got something in my eye ... *sniff sniff*

  • this was one of the saddest moments in star trek tng for sure. Data had to let his daughter go and he couldnt understand what she was feeling it was just so sad :(

  • THIS EPISODE WAS SO DAMN SAD. :/

  • "Now I know I have a heart, because it's breaking!"

  • I wish one of the scenes of Generations had shown Data crying because he'd finally found the ability to feel the loss of his daughter.

  • I have never cried during a movie or a television show, but scenes like this scene have always brought me close, and always at least made me whimper in sadness.

There is more raw beauty, emotion and though in this one Star Trek episode than exists in all of television and film today. Goes to show how amazing TNG was.

  • I cry everytime during this scene, and the moments leading up to it such as the Admiral coming out of the room: "I've never seen someone's hands moving so fast...", or something like that.
