Valletta Grand Prix 2010 - 1973 Lotus Europa Special

Timed run in the 2010 Valletta Grand Prix on board car number 52, 1973 Lotus Europa Special. The road surface was extremely slippery and it was impossible to apply full power or corner well. Hopefully this will be fixed for next year's event.

Well done for your very smart-looking, cool car ! Well done also for the gutsy drive and managing to bring it back home in one piece on that crappy road surface ! It's a shame that with all the organization that went into this event that the road surface problem was not placed at the top of the priority list of issues to be addressed before-hand. To drive on that surface was either gutsy or mental or a combination of both !!

@pfspeeddemon Thank you for your kind compliment. But to be honest, my driving was neither gutsy nor mental. I know that car well, have had it since new, that's 37 years ago. I know its limits and mine, and I keep well within them.

I agree wholeheartedly with you that it was a shame not to have addressed the road surface problem. Unless this is fixed for next year I will be very reluctant to participate again.
