The MIDI channel number will default to channel 16, but can be
changed to any channel between 1 and 16.
To change the MIDI channel number and MIDI map:
1. Hold down the switch on the encoder shown in the diagram
2. Turn on the Xone:4D
3. At the end of the start up sequence, when the illuminated
switches have flashed three times, release the switch on the
encoder.

  • @69audioprofit if you want to know if a device in ableton for example is on or off you can link the state of the device with the light. so you dont have to look into your ableton set to know if the device is on/off... kinda :D

  • isn't lightpipe another term for ADAT?

  • @69audioprofit every button is sending a midi command - you can map these commands in your favorite dj software, e.g. i use the left lower button for "play deck 1"

  • I love this thing to death and would LOVE to own but my god it makes my break hurt :|

  • i dont get the point of the light pipes :s can you explain what i would use it for?

  • Thanks for your great tutorials :)
