@Jacob9k1 The Genesis games with "mode7" used an on-board enhancement chip (Much like how more powerful mode7 usage in SNES games used on-board chips, superFX and superFX2 as an example)
Doing this game cartridge based games quite a high longetivity, look up the genesis game piere solar, that uses an on board chip to allow for a lot of new effects, also see virtua racer(?) that uses an excellent on-board chip that makes it render polygons!

Actually, just about every 16 bit console was capable of mode7, only Nintendo marked it as one of their consoles features, you can see it used in Genesis games like Contra Hard Corps and Batman and Robin just to name a couple.

@urantivirus Mode 7 is a seperate script but if you just want air ships and boats, those are all in RPG Maker VX. I'm not saying you couldn't make in event in RPG Maker XP but...

mode7 was a graphical feat in the early 90's, a feature snes had over sega genesis. It allowed for the graphics (mainly backgrounds) to be rotated and scaled, as you see when the air ship is being driven. It gave the impression of 3d.
If you ever played Mario Kart on the snes, basicly, the entire game was played in mode7.

I'm pretty new to FF6 SDK and RPG Maker XP. I've used older versions. But would someone be able to tell me how to get into the airship mode? I'm not sure which script to use.
