You may have noticed that A minor blues scale doesnt work so well over the E7 chords in the progression even if you target the root and 3rd. this video shows you how to switch this part of your soloing to an E major blues scale in the fourth position. It gives 4 vartiations of traditional sounding turn around solos.

I know this will sound dramatic but while listening to your explanation it finally clicked - years worth of intermittent and unguided practice came together to the extent that I was playing solo and fill lines with a backing track tonight and my wife couldn't believe it was me playing - I had to play it for her without me playing to prove there was not a guitar already on the track - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

E major blues scale .This is equivelent to c#m blues but starts on a different note.
