  • i'm 17 and all of my friends my age laugh at me because i listen to music like this, and really enjoy it. my ipod is full of old songs, and i never have to worry about someone wanting to use it :P they hate the good old songs, and thats just fine with me. i smile and tell them that they dont know what they are missing. what great tales are told in these songs! thanks for adding this song. love it <3

  • I think this is the clip from the movie about Hank Williams starring Warren Beatty. I've been wanting to see that old movie again for a long time. My Paw Paw would have loved this as he played and sang a lot of Tex's old songs and was from the same part of Texas as Tex Ritter came from. When those guys are gone (and there are few left) we will have lost a great legacy that gave this country so much.

  • love him and his singing what memories

  • @Jody07984 The show Three's Company was extremely popular and even more so when the character Chrissy was replaced with the character Terry. We do not know how Tex would have reacted to his son's successful show. As far as John Ritter being effeminate?.....I don't see that at all. I think he acted the way he did

on the show to fit the part.....he certainly did act effeminate on other films he did.

  • i wish someone would post up the tex ritter song conversation with a gun it startes out come on over here you rusty forty fives how many man have you faced and left alive...i have it on cassette but its old and wont play i also have it on record 33's

  • @srp960 Can't believe Tex could have been ecstatic over his son's "career" or his persona. Tex was a manly man and his son was extremely effeminate, in my opinion. Never understood why that show was so popular. I suppose it was "Christy" that brought in the fans.

  • i like it., its what i like to watch and listen too.

  • I'm 43 now.

  • @318artillery-Iwas the same when i was your age, and still are. Good music.

  • His son would give us the very popular sit-com "Three's Company", who died at 54.

  • what a beautiful masterpiece..............
