  • Vivekananda is the reason I am in love with all things in the world ... the reason I know I am only a part of the great I am that is all of us. What a wonderful presence, gone too soon.

  • Thanks for taking your precious time to share this profound spiritual information. jeff

  • Thank u Omprakash.

this is a very good explanation for many things. And it has helped me to understand and see from the different point of view.

  • since sinners r increasing then how come the population of humans incresing

  • ... I am not trying to convert you; as these papers say, there is a place for every person, including atheists. I am just trying to clear your doubt. Maybe if you find a guru who can better clear your doubts, you'll know better. Hare Krsna.

  • the ones who believe in this philosophy. There are 14 heavens, but only one heaven, the abode of Krsna (or God for you, for that matter) is the one wherefrom one does not fall back to the material world. There are other heavens too, like the ehavens of the demi-Gods, the heavens of the Pitrus (forefathers) etc. But, if you've really done good deeds to attain these planets, once your karma or your accumulated eligibility runs out, you fall back to the material world. I am not trying to (cont.)

  • I see the reason of "incomplete knowledge" as being an atheist. There is both liberation and life after death (after heaven?). It is, however, a case of either or. If you have good deeds, but not good enough to attain heaven, you get another life to complete the part that was missing; the part that did not let you reach the heavenly planets. And I don't know if you ever got to this tutelage, but we have a 14 planetary system. My using "we," is actually wrong, but by "we,", I mean (cont.)

  • Well they're both right. The way I perceived it to work is basically: depending on this life, you accumulate bad karma and good karma, but it doesn't "net" - at the end of this life, you'd enjoy the fruits of your positive karma in "heaven", and endure the penalties for the negative karma (that hasn't been repented for), then in the next life the soul enters a body with a better/worse life (in terms of closeness to God)depending on the karma from this current life..

does that make sense at all?

  • I am an atheist, but i was raised to be a hindu. One thing thats really contradictory in hinduism is that it has both the concept of liberation and after life heaven. If you do good deeds, one part outlines you will go to heaven, however from vedanta philosophy if u do gud deeds your life will be better in the next life, and eventually u will gain liberation from the maya (illusion). Thats a big contradiction from my point of view. One of the many more reason i chose to be an atheist.

  • hindus believe in nondualism...there is no second everything is one..

  • Well heaven in vedanta is actually merging with the infinite or you may call nothingness..
