3 day cruise for $325 back in 1985...it's amazing that even in late 2008, you can still go on that same 3 day cruise at about the same price.

Carnival didn't have crazy problems when Kathie was their spokesperson!

The song being sung is Richard A. Whiting's "Ain't We Got Fun?" from 1921. If you like this come to the Richard A. Whiting Facebook page to hear more wonderful compositions by the great composer such as "Hooray for Hollywood" and "On the Good Ship Lollipop."

No more "3 hour tours" for Carnival. I'll bet Kathie wouldn't be singing that now. :)

This was part of the PR campaign after one of Carnival Cruise Lines ships was highjacked by Gino Scarlatti in 1985. Luckily the A Team was there to stop him.

It's amazing how cheap it gets if you don't spend money paying staff a living salary or plan for emergencies and instead keep your customers fed on onion sandwiches and walking in feces.

    $325 - in 1985.

Calculate for inflation - that's about $650 in 2010 - you can get air and cruise packages for that price.
