La Cresta Fire

To us, this wasn't just another Southern California brush fire. Why? Because we weren't watching it on the NEWS, it was in our neighborhood! The fire helicopters reloaded from a nearby golf course (Bear Creek) and continually dumped water on the fire. As many as 4 planes could be seen in the sky at once as they swooped in to dump their loads. We watched in fear as we listened to the police scanner. Many homes were evacuated in Bear Creek, and we hoped we weren't next! In a few hours it was under control. Thank goodness. Thank you Firefighters!!
