  • When I got home from Korea in 1953, I wanted to see this movie because Merle Travis was in it. Dad drove about 70 miles to take me to the nearest theatre that night. He put on his blue suit, white shirt, and red necktie. He knew i was even back then, a Merle nut from the mid 1940s. Turned out to be a pretty good movie too. I have it on tape and disk so I will never lose it. High Noon was anothere great that was made while I was in Korea. Thanks.

  • Can someone upload the whole movie? Pls pls pls thnx

  • @zzarnticolz Look again... Clift says "hey Friday... then Friday looks... then the question

  • @whitt702 I noticed an old soldier had posted here, so I had to recognize your service to our country. God Bless.

  • Can you believe the guy on the left in this vid is Don Dubbins; Dubbins was the recruit who drove Jack Webb nuts in The D.I. (1957), four yrs after From Here to Eternity debuted. Dubbins was only one of three real actors in The D.I. The Capt was the other one, and of course Webb. All the other Marines were young DIs or DI recruits.

  • This is still the best movie about Pearl Harbour.

  • I don't think there is stogie. I wish there was. I love that scene. Someone please post it!!!

  • is there a posting of prewitt playing in the bar after he tells the other guy to learn to play the bugle

  • er we only allowed 10mins here zsid11

    try renting the dvd

  • Black and white was perfect, it added to the stark realism of this film, which hollyweird of course, took it off the "best 100" list.
