"Atheism in the name of God is an abandonment of all religious beliefs . . . giving up the attempt to make sense of the world in terms of any fixed idea or intellectual system. It is becoming again as a child and laying oneself open to reality as it is actually and directly felt, experiencing it without trying to categorize, identify or name it." -Alan Watts

  • MERE VEGETABLES

  • most of these concepts came from the Hindu Upanishads

  • Alan Watts always leaves me in awe !

  • 3:23 ... fun!

  • @TomzzHaccer No but they skew and twist the thoughts that are mine into something they aren't. I take greater delight in reaching a state of awareness or having moment of eureka through raw critical thinking. Reasoning and logic are my drugs, best to chase it down with a swig of education though.

  • @DamienZshadow That'd still be your thoughts alone. Unless you're implying the drugs have thoughts.

  • Alan Watts is indeed an entertainer. I am wary of people who consider him a philosopher/intellectual/authority.

  • How did Dragonball Z clips lead me to this?

  • I just love Alan Watts ~ such a beautiful and humorous way of explaining the world and our 'place in it'.
