  • Good video.

  • @thmsmhgn -- Thanks. Let me know if there are other topics you'd like to see addressed in future videos.

  • Greg - I am interested in anything on this topic. Next time please don't walk - it was hard to follow with all the movement.

  • @RallyIsetta -- Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Sorry about all the motion in the video. I'll stay in one place next time. Also, at the end I was competing with the noise of busses in the background. There's been a lot of interest in this video, so I think I'll record a follow-up. I'd like to share about my experience living in my 140 square foot home in Iowa City off-the-grid. There were some interesting experiences and interactions that I had with the city which may help others.

  • Anybody know what the UK position is on this ?

  • Find someone who has a private back yard and needs some extra income. If you live quietly (especially if you're behind high fences) no one will bother you. If the code Nazis come calling, do what I did and answer the door carrying a shotgun and look like you've had to drive off burglars in the past. They won't return....

  • I've contacted the national fair housing council about the basic internationally recognized human right inherent in living in a home that in no way harms others.

Also defining habitation is very difficult does napping a few hours count? How will anyone know without violating privacy rights and peeping Tom laws.

  • I had no idea about the law that you cant live in a rv on a propperty even though you got permission.

  • Great info. Thank You

  • Actually, zoning laws are vey enforceable.

  • @resourcesforlife Hi Greg-Do you know of any sites were you can place your tiny home. I live in the state of Calif. And I am new to this I love the idea and hope soon to have my own tiny home. Is there any land in my area were a tiny home can be placed?

  • @MimiZ914 -- There's a lot of money to be made in renting housing to people, and less profit to be made when people own their homes. When people rent from you as a landlord, your personal equity and wealth increases while the renter remains with presumably little net worth and no property to their name (and not very good credit). When everyone has their own property/home, even a small one, then the wealth and equity is spread around among each individual owner.
