Zombies : Dawn of the Dead - original UK theatrical trailer

This is the extremely rare ORIGINAL full length 1978 UK theatrical trailer to George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead", which was released under the title "Zombies : Dawn of the Dead" when it first played UK theatres.

This trailer is longer than the ones found on the current box set from Anchor Bay and was taken from an old trailer tape I picked up from a video fair a few years ago. NO idea where they got it from.

Would anybody happen to know why this film wasn't on the Video Nasties list when similar films like Zombi 2 and Hell of the Living Dead were?

@rubinoos1 Had the nasties furore gone on longer it might have ended up on the list, but the introduction of the Video Recordings act made further prosecutions uneccessary. As to why it didn't end up there sooner, because the authorities had absoloutely no idea what they were doing and were seizing stuff at random.

@rubinoos1 It was never classed as a nasty, but it was refused a certificate on video for a long time. When it finally resurfaced in the late eighties with an 18, it was cut even further from the old X version that played UK cinemas in '79.

I wish I could see this movie for the first time again... I've had day of the dead forever, but I've no watched it b/c I don't want to be "finished" w/ the romero movies...
