Model Cities was a federally funded war on poverty program which was enacted under the administration of Lyndon B. Johnson. The program was designed to respond to the social ills of poor and disadvantaged communities across the United States. In this film, The Buffalo, New York Model Cities Agency responds to the needs of the community by employing residents through various agencies under the model cities umbrella to tackle issues of Unemployment, Health and Public Safety, Economic Development as well as promoting
Cultural Awareness through its designated arts organizations.
