Myself and my girlfriend Mel have been travelling around Greece the last 3 weeks and thought our little mascot might highlight the sites better than us. We were always respectful, always took photos where people were allowed to stand, sit etc.

Greece is amazing so if you ever have a chance to go, I highly suggest it. This is our way of trying to promote this awesome country!

***I leave for home in 24 hours and will be uploading videos properly when I am back. For all my fans, my New Years Resolution is to kick Youtube into high gear by uploading more material eg 2-3 times a week. So get ready for HUGHSNEWS!!!***

INFO ABOUT SITES-
Delphi- Delphi is home to the Temple of Apollo and the tholos to Athena. At the temple of Apollo, a priestess used to inhale fumes and convulse on the floor, her mutterings were interpreted by a priest as the words of the god Apollo, predicting the future. This was called the Delphic Oracle.

Olympia- The temple of Hera was created in the 6th century BC and was the first temple to have stone columns. It is also where the Olympic torch is lit each 4 years!
The stadium is where the running races of the ancient Olympics occurred
The temple of Zeus contained the gold and ivory statue of Zeus. This was one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world
The Mycenaean tomb- Probably dated from 1400-1200 BC.
The Kaidas- If you remember the scene in the movie 300 where Leonidas kicks a Persian messenger into a deep hole, this cave is the real thing. Its a crevice which when excavated contained the bones of men and women, probably deserters from battle or people who had been disgraced.
Messenia- This is the city that the Messenians built in the 4th century BC. They were the captive slaves of the Spartans for hundreds of years.
Mystras- This is basically a Byzantine ghost town. The town had survived for hundreds of years and the walls and houses still stand in place, almost complete.
Temple of Apollo, Corinth- This is a temple to the god Apollo. It lies in Ancient Corinth, one of the most power city-states in Greece.
Tomb of Clytemnestra and the Treasury of Atreus- These are both at Mycenae, the famous Mycenaean citadel. Both are tombs, despite the names.
Tiryns- Another Mycenaean citadel and complex. The walls are called Cyclopean as the myth is it took huge Cyclops to move the stones which are in some cases wider than my arms outstretched.
Epidavros- Probably the most complete and well preserved theatre in Greece. If you drop a coin in the centre of the orchestra(the stage), a person on the top row of seats can hear it.
Knossos- The famous Minoan palace. It was destroyed when the Minoans basically disappeared.
Malia- Another Minoan palace, this one is nicer than Knossos if you travel there.
Chania- Probably the prettiest town in Greece. It has the feel of Venice to it.
Gortys- This site has just way way way to much stuff. It has a church(which I misspelt in the video), temples to Egyptian Gods and walls that stand meters high.
Phaistos- Cookies is sitting in an oil press, you put olives onto it and grind them and oil can then be collected as it comes out of the spout.
Diktian Cave- This is the cave where Zeus was born and hidden from Kronos who killed all of his children for fear they would usurp him. Zeus survived and did kill his dear old dad and became king of the Gods.
Thermopylae- The famous gates of fire this is where the famous battle took place. The photo is of the hill where the Spartans made their last stand.
Pella- This is the birthplace of Alexander the Great, although the site is not that impressive.
Vergina- This mound contained the tomb of Alexander the Greats dad, Phillip of Macedon. Some of his grave goods included ivory furniture and gold wreaths.
Potidea- Some tower we stumbled across.
Meteora- This is the home of these massive stone outcrops which monks have built monasteries on top of. They used to be only accessible by being pulled up in a net.
Rhamnous- Unfortunately, it was largely shut apart from one temple, the temple of Nemesis from the 5th century BC
Thorikos- This is an ancient theatre but its of a weird almost square shape.
Sounion- One of the most famous temples in Greece. It sits on a headland of the southern coast of Attica. Beautiful.
Acropolis- Well, simply one of the coolest places in Greece.
